Our Quality Policy

The South African Forum of Civil Engineering Contractors (SAFCEC) is a registered Employers Organisation, constituted in terms of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 SS 95-111 and the SAFCEC constitution as amended. As such it is a “not for gain” Forum registered by the Registrar at the Department of Labour. Founded in 1939, SAFCEC has been a leading voice and a single point of contact into the civil engineering sector when advocating for legislative and best practice developments that may affect its members in the civil engineering contracting sector.

 

SAFCEC regards its members as one of its most valuable assets and is therefore dedicated to establishing and meeting the needs and expectations of its members in a planned, systematic, ethical, professional and cost effective manner that is timeous and to continuously strive to improve the way in which this is accomplished. SAFCEC is fully committed to managing its services to the highest possible standards and in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard and use this system as a framework for establishing and reviewing its quality objectives, in pursuit of its Quality Service promise.

To be the leading construction industry representative body in South Africa.

Mission
Promote the image of the civil engineering construction industry by enabling members to deliver a professional construction service and encourage them to take care of their employees’ safety and welfare, the environment and the community thus providing a foundation for our country’s development.

v Promoting and honoring the rule of law, SAFCEC constitution and code of conduct, and good corporate governance.
